How do I back up or archive my Articulate 360 projects?

Regularly backing up your projects protects against data loss and makes it easier to archive completed courses. Here’s how to safely back up your Storyline and Rise projects.

Storyline 360:

1. Save the project file:
   Save your .story file regularly to your local drive and to an external storage device.
2. Back up the published version:
   Export the project as an LMS package (ZIP file) and store it together with the .story file.
3. Cloud backup:
   Use Review 360 to create a cloud backup. More information can be found in Articulate Support: Storyline 360: Cloud backup.

Rise 360:

1. Export the course:
   Export the course as a SCORM, xAPI, or web package and save the ZIP file.
2. Create a copy:
   You can create a copy of the course and store it separately or share it with others.

Use a clear folder structure and consistent file naming to keep track of different versions and backups.
